Being familiar, being close.
The dream has never been more vivid and more practical. You can touch it, sense it, feel it. You can gulp it in one shot to forget the nightmare or embrace the feeling. We chase our dreams like a gloomy start. Here is another one escaping the skyline, falling down to the ground. Some find their dreams in clouds, the candy-cotton silk, covered in bluish arousal.
We write our dreams to catch them. We want them to materialize no matter how or where. Day and night, we think, contemplate, and pound. Dreams come to us in liquid, watery form. Is the glass half-empty or half-full?
Being present, being in the moment.
We write to capture and express to feel. In words, phrases, poems, or vers-libre, it’s within and inside. The art of capturing lies in many essences, but we, as artists, enjoy the sensual representation of our desires. We are set on the journey to explore, to dive deeper into the stream of consciousness to find the answers or maybe even just slight hints. We spot the sunny bunnies on the ceiling, catch the last rays of sunshine, and run through the obstacles and light.
Being magnifying, being captivating
Sometimes, it is more about attention, the unfulfilling desire to be seen and heard. We want to allure the reader, make it believe us even for the slightest moment, to be the descendants of our visions, our hopes. We want the words to linger, the rhyme to strive, and the mind to drink in.
Being experimental, being bold
But what’s more, it’s about exploring one’s own, the others, or the things in between. It’s a trial, a chance where no errors exist, and no borders can divide the sides. And just like everything around, it’s the first and the last chance to do it right.
